Windows CE 2.0 Setup for Taranaki NetSource use.
Reset you H/PC.
Then START button, SETTINGS, click CONTROL PANEL. Double click COMMUNICATIONS icon. Go to the Dialing tab. Select Tone Dialing & Check the Dialing from Settings are correct for your area. Click OK and close the CONTROL PANEL.
Go START button, PROGRAMS, COMMUNICATION, click REMOTE NETWORKING. Double click Make New Connection. Enter in Taranaki NetSource as the name. Select as a Dial-up Connection, click NEXT. Select a Modem. Then click TCP/IP SETTINGS On the General Tab, tick Server assigned IP address, Use software compression & Use IP header compression. On the Name Servers Tab tick server assigned address. Click OK. Click NEXT. Enter in the Phone number required to call for Internet access. Click Finish & X to close.
On the main desktop, double click Internet Explorer icon. Once loaded, go VIEW, then click OPTIONS. Click the Auto Dial Tab. Tick Use Auto Dial and select Taranaki NetSource as the Dial-up Connection. Click the Proxy Server Tab, make sure the Use Proxy Server box is un-ticked. Click OK and Close the program.
On the main desktop, double click Inbox icon. Once loaded, go COMPOSE, then click options. Click the Services Tab. Click Add choose Internet Mail as the service, then click OK. Enter in a name like, NetSource E-Mail. Click OK. Select a Connection (Taranaki NetSource).
POP3 Host is: pop.netsource.co.nz
SMTP Host is: smtp.netsource.co.nz
Enter in you supplied User ID & Password. Tick the Save Password option. Click NEXT. Click NEXT after you have made any changes, if needed. Select Message Headers Only (by Default) and include 100 lines of the message body. Click Finish. Click OK and X to close the program.
Reset H/PC
On the main desktop double click Internet Explorer icon. Enter in your User name & Password. Tick the Save Password option if you wish. Click Connect to get on the Internet.
